Why You Should Study Abroad

This is my second time abroad and my first time being abroad during the summer, and I can tell you first hand that there are both ups and downs to this.

Lets start with the fact I am missing the most amazing time in America; bonfires, carnivals, concerts, THE FOURTH OF JULY, BBQs, and god knows what else. Finding a place that celebrates the fourth when you are not in America is next to impossible, that is unless you are abroad with a bunch of other Americans and then you can skip class and teach foreigners how to play beer pong all day.

Also, I am in Ecuador. I thought it would be warm and I would get a nice golden glow since I am on the equator. FALSE. I am in the mountains. It rains every single day and I think I am more pale than when I left. I feel for those in even colder places. #TheStruggleIsReal

But the pros somewhat outweigh the cons. THE MEN!!! Granted there a lot of creepy guys here, just go to t he clubs and you will find yourself a hottie that loves him some Americans (Side note, we call them sharks in Ecuador). They all want their visas so they are willing to bend over backwards in order to have a chance with you. If you want a guy to literally worship the ground you walk on just study abroad.

The food is amazing as well! Except for those weird things the indigenous people eat, like guinea pig, that you are more than terrified to try. Just remember, that this is a once in a life time experience and you need to live each day like it is your last.
