University Of Michigan Student Sends Video To Ellen DeGeneres, And It Is Incredible

I usually hate watching videos, and when I enjoy watching them, it takes a lot to get my attention. This five minute video got my attention right away.

Michael Funkhouser, a sophomore at University of Michigan, has some pretty funky dance moves. But, he is also generous, genuine, and has an enormous heart.

Funkhouser is hungry for an internship this summer with Ellen DeGeneres, and with his drive, I think that he isn’t to far from achieving this goal. He loves how Ellen is such a giving person, and Michael wants to make a difference with her. So, he sent Ellen a video telling her why he should be her intern.

Not only is Michael hilarious (I told him that he should be a comedian… he really should), but his motivation to make a difference in the world is magnificent. He gave me a glimpse into his accomplishments in a personal interview.

“Once at a basketball game, I was dancing and playing around with some kids in the stands and one of them said, ‘I want to be like you when I grow up.’ That was probably one of the coolest things about the opportunities that I have. I’ve made it a goal to be someone that kids can look up to. I don’t think anything I’ve done really matters unless I can be a positive role model.”

Rumor has it that Ellen and her team have actually stalked Michael’s Facebook. How cool is that? Well, hey Ellen, if you are reading this, please do the world a favor and hire Michael as your intern. UniversityPrimetime.com thinks he deserves it!!
