It is reported that in the next couple decades 2/3 of college students are supposed to be overweight by the time they are in their forties. There are five reasons for this statistic:
1. Colleges have buffet-style dining halls with many foods that are not good for you. Pizza and burgers should not be consumed every day..
2. Organic foods cost much more, so cheaper, less healthy options are made readily available.
3. College students do not have the time to wait around for food to be made, so they grab whatever is ready and move on with their life.
4. Many college students are broke, so venturing out and purchasing healthy groceries is pretty much not an option.
5. At the end of the day, college students are young adults and still have a sweet tooth just like the normal kid they just were, so if a healthy option and an unhealthy, but very tasteful option are both available, the tasty option is going to grab their attention.
